Heartland Medical Staff
Tanya Duncan, MD, grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and joined Heartland Health in 2008. She attended college at Wayne State in Wayne, Nebraska and earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Faith Regional Health Services UNMC Rural Training Track for Family Medicine. Dr. Duncan works at Heartland Health Center and at University Hospital.
Dr. Duncan is a member of the American and Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. She and her husband Bill reside in Lincoln and have two children.
John Mayberry, MD, a native of Norfolk, Nebraska, joined the Heartland Health staff in 1992. Dr. Mayberry attended college at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Mayberry is a Board Certified Family Practitioner and a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Mayberry has recently started the Women's Health Specialty Clinic. He and his wife Karen reside in Waverly and have three children.
Dr. Tomgrove is a graduate of Waverly High School. He completed his pre-med coursework at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln from 1981 until 1985. Dr. Tomgrove then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 1985 until 1989. He received his Bachelors of Science in Medicine in 1987, and his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1989. Dr. Tomgrove completed his residency at the Lincoln Medical Education Foundation in 1992.
Dr. Tomgrove is Board Certified in Family Practice, and is also certified in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and ALSO.
Dr. Tomgrove joined the Medical Staff in September 1993. He resides in Lincoln, with his wife Pamela.
